雄安新区成国庆热门旅游地

The Xiong’an New Area has become the latest hot destination during the National Day holiday, reports Hebei Daily.

《河北日报》报道，国庆假期期间，雄安新区成为了最新的热门旅游景点。

The most visited scenic spot during the National Day holiday was Baiyangdian, Hebei’s biggest lake.

国庆假期游客访问最多的景点便是河北省最大的湖泊——白洋淀。

"The number of tourists visiting Baiyangdian in the first two days of the holiday was double that of the year before," said one local tour guide.

一位本地导游说，“国庆黄金周前两天到访白洋淀的游客量是去年同期的2倍。”

One park in Baiyangdian played host to nearly 10,000 tourists on the second day of the holiday, according to the assistant general manager of the park.

据一公园的经理助理介绍，白洋淀的一个公园在假期的第二天接待了近1万名游客。

Tourists are attracted by historic sites, folklore performances, and a range of activities such as fishing, cruising in the lake, and fresh aquatic food.

游客们被历史景点、民俗表演和钓鱼、湖中划船等一系列活动以及鲜美的水产品所吸引。

Established six months ago, the Xiong’an New Area covers an area of about 100 square kilometers south of Beijing, and includes Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin counties.

雄安新区成立于半年前，位于北京以南，占地面积约100平方公里，跨越雄县、容城和安新三地。

It’s being seen as an important complement to Beijing, with many non-capital functions moving south, removing strong population pressures on Beijing’s infrastructure, environment, and housing.

它被视为对北京的一个重要补充，许多非首都功能南移，减轻了北京基础设施、环境和住房的巨大人口压力。
