普华永道中国：

改革开放后，Price Waterhouse进入中国。为了避免被常常翻译成“价格昂贵的水屋”，Price Waterhouse在中国采用中文音译, 为“普赖斯•华德豪斯国际会计公司”。1992年，财政部会计司领导在审批“普赖斯•华德豪斯国际会计公司”提出的审计执照申请时，圈出了其中的“普”字和“华”字，会计行业一个响当当的名字就此诞生。

Coopers & Lybrand在中国的中文译名开始是“古柏斯•赖布兰德”。香港会计师容永道先生不能接受Coopers & Lybrand音译的中文名字，因为“赖布兰德”在广东话中读出来的意思是“利不来得”或“利不能得”，不吉利。后来他提议把公司取名为“永道”，即永远讲道德、讲道理和讲公道。永道会计师事务所的命名实际上代表了国际会计师事务所在中国本土化发展的第一步。

台湾资诚：

普华永道在台湾称作“资诚”。

1970年，朱国璋先生和陈振铣先生这两位在台湾会计界影响重大的人物共同创立了“朱陈会计师事务所”。

1973年，朱陈会计师事务所加入普华国际。1975年3月，“朱陈会计师事务所”正式改名为“资诚会计师事务所”，“朱陈”二字用上海话念，就是“资诚”。

“资”和“诚”体现了普华永道在台湾强大的企业文化。“资”代表以人才为本，秉持专业理念，培育专业资质；“诚”代表会计师职业是守护社会诚信价值的基石，诚信是所有PwC人的核心价值观。“资诚”合在一起，也是会计师服务资本市场，维系诚信制度的职责体现。
